Gunner’s First Day On the Job
Bringing Up Gunner
Earlier this year, you may recall that I brought home a new puppy — my latest Giant Schnauzer, Gunner. He’s been a wonderful addition to my family, and with plenty of hard work and love, he’s growing into a very sweet, well behaved dog (well, most of the time!)
True, Gunner has been a handful this first year (my girlfriend Jenn would agree), but he has certainly kept me on an active routine, which I really enjoy. More than that, we’ve definitely formed a strong bond — in fact, when I have to travel for business, I’m not sure who misses who more!
Time to Put Him to Work!
I used to joke regularly that I wouldn’t take on a client unless the office was dog friendly. That was back when I had a previous beloved Giant Schnauzer, Buddha, and I knew my clients were as happy to see him as they were me.
Well — Now it’s Gunner’s turn to come with Dad to work! I brought him with me for his first day on the job last week, hanging out in the stockroom of University Wafers, and on to get some work done for the good folks at Boston Cabinets.
Boston Cabinets had a sweet office dog themselves, Yaz, so Gunner wasn’t alone in his dog-ness, and there was certainly time to squeeze in some play and a nap after work. Good Boy Gunner.
